Driven by design, unfazed by the unconventional.
About my work
I’ve never been one to follow the beaten path. When the traditional high school experience wasn’t working for me, I forged my own route—dropping out, working for a year, earning my GED, and entering college ahead of schedule. This experience shaped my approach to life and work: if something’s not working, I don’t hesitate to pivot and find a better way.
After college, while working in communications, I became increasingly drawn to design—redesigning websites, refining branding, and enhancing marketing strategies whenever I could. It quickly became clear that design was not just a side hustle; it was my future. I shifted gears again, leveling up my skills and landing my first freelance UX gig, which launched my UX career.
Now, at edX for Business, I maintain that same spirit of adaptability. With limited resources for research, I embrace creative solutions—hallway testing, gathering insights from internal stakeholders, and identifying unconventional ways to advance projects. Whether it’s altering my own path or finding innovative solutions to user problems, I thrive on pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box.
Outside of work
I love hiking and traveling. The photo above was taken at White Sands National Park while on a road trip across the country. When I’m not on an adventure, I enjoy teaching my dog tricks, trying out new recipes, and reading sci-fi.
